Puppies in distress!!! Emergency!!
Sometimes something awful just happens. These puppies were brought to the rescue with their mom when they were barely hours old. The mom died the next day from apparent poisoning. Erma and Franciso bottle fed these until they were old enough to eat puppy chow. The cost associated with raising puppies in this manner is incredible. A can of powdered perrito formula costs $28.00. And for these 5 puppies 5 cans were required. I ‘d like to say that this is an isolated incident but it's not. Puppies too young to eat on their own are abandoned outside the vet's office or outside the Las Minitas facility. It's not an uncommon practice….unfortunately.
